Shane Stephens is a visual artist working across sculpture, printmaking, and mixed media.
Her practice explores emotion, memory, and lived experience through a process-led approach, where texture and material become a language for expression.
Working with clay, ink, paint, and found elements, she creates pieces that hold quiet narratives shaped by resilience, reflection, and transformation.
Shane’s artistic journey began early, inspired by generations of makers within her family. This foundation continues to inform her work, grounding it in both personal history and a deep connection to material.
Currently studying a Bachelor of Visual Arts at UniSQ, she is expanding her practice through the study of global cultures and contemporary art, allowing new ideas and perspectives to influence her evolving body of work.
Based in Queensland, Shane exhibits locally and internationally, and continues to develop work that invites viewers to engage with story, memory, and meaning in their own way.
