Happy Boy Patch

Happy Boy Patch is a joyful, brightly coloured portrait of our much-loved dog Patch, now 15 years old. Painted with tenderness and playful energy, the work celebrates his loyal, gentle nature and the happiness he has brought into our family. The vibrant palette and expressive brushstrokes capture Patch’s personality—joyful, curious, and full of heart. Exhibited at St Andrew’s Hospital in May as part of the UniSQ Arts Department exhibition, the painting was warmly received by viewers, many of whom connected with its sense of love and companionship. Happy Boy Patch was purchased during the exhibition, marking a meaningful moment in my creative journey as an artist who paints from lived experience and deep emotional connection.
