Kookaburra At Rest

This year I exhibited this painting in the Recovered Futures Art Exhibition, and this sold on opening. Kookaburra at Rest explored the strength and humour found in Australian wildlife, using soft colour and expressive brushwork to celebrate the bird’s resilience and character. This piece reflected my broader theme of healing through artmaking—revealing how colour, mood, and storytelling can transform personal struggle into images that speak to hope and resilience.
